Crime and Justice Analyst Network

We are the Crime and Justice Analyst Network (CAJAN), bringing together analysts from across the criminal justice system in England & Wales to build relationships and share best practice.

CAJAN is shaped by analysts, who benefit from a diverse programme of activities and events to mutually support one another and solve problems together.

Our goal is for CAJAN to deliver better-quality connections and long-term relationships between different arms of the criminal justice system, creating a more resilient and effective system for everyone.

How we meet

We meet online, using Microsoft Teams, to ensure that anyone from across England and Wales can take part and to allow members to fit the meetings into their busy schedules. We stay connected in three different ways:

  • Monthly lunchtime meetings focused on building analytical skills, developing data-related processes and sharing best practice

  • Monthly steering group meetings, open to all CAJAN members, to set the agenda for the network

  • Regular email updates and newsletters, to keep up to date with all things CAJAN as well as updates on the criminal justice system

How we connect

  • X
  • Knowledge hub (1)_edited_edited
  • LinkedIn

We post regularly on our X (formerly Twitter) account, @CJSAnalysts, pointing to the latest CAJAN news and events

KnowledgeHub is a dedicated online space for analysts to come together, providing a forum to exchange ideas and as a home for the resources we share within the network

We use LinkedIn to update existing members about upcoming meetings and also to connect with those new to the network
